Hyaluronic acid is the most essential element of the epidermis structure. It stimulates production in protein tissues that are responsible for the skin's strength and elasticity.
The Doctor said that the second component, Collagen - the enhancer of youth, is no less important because it prevents dehydration in the skin by enforcing its structure. It helps revive the cells and has a powerful lifting effect.
Vitamins and Trace elements:
Necessary for the skin health and beauty. They effectively improve the texture and prevent the damage on a cellular level.
Active form of Vitamin A:
Vitamin A decreases the activity of oily glands, dries oily skin, narrows widened pores, smooths and evens the epidermis.
The strong antioxidant compounds in this little green fruit firm the skin and delay the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. This is mostly due to their high Vitamin C and E content which help reduce skin damage due to free radicals.
Whether eaten or used topically, papaya can work wonders on your skin. It is a natural complexion toner and fights the formation of wrinkles while its Vitamins A, C and E will nourish the skin.
Grapes are a rich source of both manganese and Vitamin C. Together, these compounds can prevent damage due to ultraviolet radiation while their antioxidant properties fight against the aging process.
Brazil nuts are by far the nature's best dietary source of selenium: a single Brazil nut provides more than the US reference daily intake! Due to their selenium content, combined with their high concentration of vitamin E, Brazil nuts are up there at the top of the anti-wrinkle food list. It is important, however, to bear in mind that Brazil nuts like most other nuts are calorie dense, and therefore they should be consumed in moderation, especially if you are concerned about weight gain.
Cucumber Aloe Cold Cream
Your skin gets drier (and duller) with age, but this super-hydrating cream can keep it looking radiant with hydrating aloe vera, brightening fresh lemon, and the yogurt's exfoliating lactic acid.
- ½ c plain organic Greek yogurt
- ¼ c cucumber, chopped and seeded
- ¼ c aloe flesh, peeled and chopped
- ½ lemon, juiced
APPLY a thick layer of the cream to your face and leave on for up to 30 minutes. Remove the mask with a moistened washcloth, and follow with toner.
Avocado Wheatgrass Mask
Avocado is packed with oleic acid, making it a highly moisturizing base for a face mask. It also contains a hefty portion of vitamin E, which helps improve skin’s texture while fighting damage from free radicals that cause aging. The lactic acid in yogurt gently loosens dead skin cells, giving your complexion a fresher, brighter appearance. And wheatgrass juice adds a punch of anti-aging powerhouses vitamins A and E. (If fresh wheatgrass juice is unavailable, use reconstituted powdered juice instead.)
- ½ ripe avocado
- 2 Tbsp plain organic greek yogurt
- 1 Tbsp wheatgrass juice
PUREE ingredients in a blender. Apply a thick layer of the puree to your face, and allow it to dry for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with tepid water, and follow with toner.
